Our Week On Fleek 2/9

Hey girl hey! I have a big announcement........drum roll please.......I'm super excited about my new weekly blog series called......Our Week On Fleek! Every Friday, I'll be posting all the good news for the week.  Tips, fun things that we did in our room, new products, freebies......an assortment of different topics.  But you can be assured they will all be uplifting, inspiring and hopefully give you some new ideas to help you plan your next week! So without further ado.....here is "Our Week On Fleek":

We had a ton of fun this week learning about the Olympics!  Thanks to my friend Jenna over at From September to Mrs. May for the great Winter Games unit! We learned all about the history of the Olympics and the different sports.  We wrote some facts that we learned and drew pictures of our favorite sport! Stay tuned for next week when we have our own Olympic Games with our firsties!

The Fab Firsties had fun with our Math and Literacy games during center time this week.  I love watching them play games together.  The problem solving and team work is amazing.

LOOK at all the goodies I found at Dollar Tree! I have so many ideas for fun games and centers for my firsties!  Can't wait to get started making them.....now I just have to find the time! Stay tuned to see what I come up with!

We had a great week learning all about Presidents Day! I found some great free videos and online books....and I even found a link to a virtual tour of the White House!  You can read more about it here.

Finally, I'd like to dedicate this blog post to my wonderful mother, who passed away on January 20, 2018 at the age of 95 years old.  She was my biggest supporter in all I do....she was always telling her friends about my teaching antics and funny stories.  She always wanted me to write a book....and I told her that my blog was sort of like my book.  It's here that I get to tell my stories and she loved that! I am so happy that she was able to see my success in Firstieland....she was a proud mom and always made me feel loved and supported in everything!  I always say that I was one of the lucky ones....because I got one of the good moms.  Sending love and blessings to her......

  1. I love your new blog series, and I'm so sorry about your loss. I bet your mom loved all your stories! Good job at the Dollar Store ~ I'm needing to go there too! Happy weekend.
